5 years back Bharathiar University had selected 56 popular and important Poems of Bharatiyar and translated them into english by Prof Dr K Chellappan,Dr N Ramani and Dr R Saravana Selvan and the book is titled as The Essential Bharathy and designed in such a way that the tamil and the english versions could be read simultaneously for facilitating ease of reference.
Many Scholars were not aware of this been published till date and the tamil title of this book is befitting and coined as பாரதி கவித்தேறல்
