Dear Arul,
Every word of Appa speaks. How often in our homes, I have heard elders loathe the sickening age! My professor, Appa knows, once pacified me quoting some poet of his choice: “An aged man is a paltry thing;
A tattered coat upon a stick;
Whence soul stands apart an claps its hands to sing
Every tattered in its mortal dress”
I think the lines are by W.B.Yeats. Thus philosophically I am silenced. Appa’s is a conviction strong and decisive to find ways and means of redressal ! I as ever, lament and pray, may Almighty grants us strength from time to time to face and brave new and newer wants.
Prof.Sankara Narayanan,
Kumbakonam.
