Eminent Tamil Scholar,
former Secretary of the State, Tamil Language Development and Culture department,
former Vice-Chancellor of the Tamil University,
Thanjavur,
and a former member of the Central Institute of Classical Tamil,
Dr. Avvai Natarajan, in a felicitation message on the relaunch of
‘ The Rising Sun’
as a fortnightly, writes :
” The Tamil Daily, Murasoli ‘ has laid the grand foundation of the Dravidian Principles in inimitable Tamil over 75 years ago.
It gives me inexpressible pleasure to congratulate the young, energetic Publisher and Printer of ‘ The Rising Sun ‘
Mr. Udhayanidhi Stalin, MLA, for resuming the publication of their progressive English magazine as a fortnightly.
I am reminded of our great Perararignar Anna and the glorious Muthamizh Arignar Kalaignar M. Karunanidhi, for evincing great interest in running an English Newspaper, which needed very great efforts even in those days.
This is a Herculean task and I am sure
Mr. Udhayanidhi Stalin, MLA, will effortlessly make this English fortnightly magazine, ‘ The Rising Sun’ a resounding success now.
Let the ‘ The Rising Sun ‘ cultivate sense and sensibility in readership and reflect in its pages fair and just trends in a faithful manner.
