தலைமைச் செயலக மொழிபெயர்ப்புப் பிரிவைச் சேர்ந்த அலுவலர்களுக்கு பிரிட்டிஷ் கலை நிறுவன ஆங்கிலப் பயிற்சிக்கான சான்றிதழ் வழங்கும் விழா மற்றும் ஆட்சிச்சொல்லகராதி வெளியீட்டு விழா
2022ஆம் ஆண்டில் அக்டோபர், நவம்பர் ஆகிய திங்கள்களில் நடைபெற்ற ஆங்கில பயிற்சியை சிறப்பாக நிறைவு செய்த தலைமைச் செயலகத்தின் மொழிபெயர்ப்புப் பிரிவைச் சேர்ந்த
2 துணை இயக்குநர்கள்,
4 பிரிவு அலுவலர்கள்
மற்றும் 12 உதவிப் பிரிவு அலுவலர்களுக்கு
பிரிட்டிஷ் கலை நிறுவன ஆங்கிலப் பயிற்சிக்கான பாராட்டுச் சான்றிதழ்களை மாண்புமிகு தமிழ் வளர்ச்சி மற்றும் செய்தித் துறை அமைச்சர் அவர்கள் சென்னை, தலைமைச் செயலகத்தில் 6ஆம் தளத்தில் மொழிபெயர்ப்புத் துறையில் வழங்கிச் சிறப்பித்தார்.
இந்த அறிவிப்பு 2018-2019ஆம் ஆண்டு வெளியிடப்பட்ட அறிவிப்பாகும்.
கொரோனா பெரும்தொற்றை முன்னிட்டு இப்பயிற்சி பல நிலைகளில் ஒத்திவைக்கப்பட்டது.
மேலும், இப்பயிற்சிக்கு தமிழ்நாடு அரசு ரூ.8,07,000/- நிதியுதவி அளித்துள்ளது.
பின்னர் அமைச்சர் தன் உரையில்,
“கல்வி கற்பதால் ஒருவர் பெறும் அனுபவமும் ஆற்றலும் கற்றல் ஆகும் என புகழ்பெற்ற ‘வெப்ஸ்டெர் ‘ என்ற அகராதி கூறுகிறது என்றும் கற்றல் திறனைப் பெறுபவர் தங்கள் நடைமுறை வாழ்க்கையுடன் பொருந்தி வாழும் வல்லமையைப் பெறுவர்.” என்றும் குறிப்பிட்டார்
மேலும், “யாமறிந்த மொழிகளிலே” என்று தொடங்கித் தமிழின் புகழ் பாடிய மகாகவி பாரதியார் பதினெட்டு மொழிகள் அறிந்திருந்தார்.
இதன் காரணமாகவே, அவர் தமிழ் மொழி குறித்து கூறிய கருத்துகள் வலுவாக ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளப்பட்டன.
சுந்தரத் தெலுங்கு மட்டுமல்லாமல் அவர் கற்ற திராவிட, ஐரோப்பிய மொழிகள் அவரின் சிந்தைக்கு கூடுதல் பலம் சேர்த்திருந்தன.” என்றும்,
“ஒரு முறை முத்தமிழறிஞர் கலைஞர் தன்னுடைய உரையில், தன்னை வளர்த்த பேரறிஞர் அண்ணா, ஆங்கிலத்தில் பேசும் முறையை குறித்து பேசியது என் நினைவிற்கு இப்பொழுது வருகிறது.

அந்த வகையில், ஆங்கில மொழியை பயிற்றுவதில் பல்வேறு நிலைகளை வகுத்து, அதை மாணவர்களுக்கும், தனியார் மற்றும் அரசுப் பணியாளர்களுக்கும் சென்னை பிரிட்டிஷ் கவுன்சில் நிறுவனம் சிறப்பான வகையில் தொடர்ந்து பல ஆண்டுகளாக பயிற்றுவித்து வருவதை நான் நன்கறிவேன்.
அந்நிறுவனத்திற்கு என்னுடைய பாராட்டை தெரிவித்துக் கொள்கிறேன்.” என்றும் குறிப்பிட்டார்.
தமிழ் வளர்ச்சி மற்றும் செய்தித் துறையின் ஓர் அங்கமான மொழிபெயர்ப்புத் துறையில், பள்ளி வழியாக 12ஆம் வகுப்பு வரை தமிழ் வழியில் பயின்ற 9 மொழிபெயர்ப்பாளர்கள் உள்ளிட்ட 20 மொழிபெயர்ப்பாளர்கள் தங்களின் ஆங்கில மொழித் திறனை மேம்படுத்திக்கொள்ளும் பொருட்டு, சிறப்பானதொரு பயிற்சியினை பிரிட்டிஷ் கவுன்சில் நிறுவனத்தில் நிறைவு செய்துள்ளார்கள்.
அவர்களுக்கும் என்னுடைய வாழ்த்துகளைத் தெரிவித்துக் கொள்கிறேன்.
அரசுப் பணியாளர்களை ஊக்கப்படுத்தும் வகையில், தமிழ்நாடு அரசு பல்வேறு பயிற்சிகளை அளித்து வருகிறது. அதன் வெளிப்பாடாகவே இந்த ஆங்கில பயிற்சி அமைந்துள்ளது”. என்று தன் தலைமை உரையில் குறிப்பிட்டார்.
தமிழ் வளர்ச்சி மற்றும் செய்தித் துறையின் அரசு செயலாளர் அவர்கள் தன் உரையில்,
மொழிவளம் குறித்தும், மொழிபெயர்ப்பாளர்களுக்கு ஆங்கில மொழி நுட்பத்தை அறிந்து கொள்வது எத்துணை அவசியம் என்றும் வலியுறுத்திக் கூறினார்.
பிரிட்டிஷ் கலை நிறுவனத்தின் தென்னிந்திய இயக்குநர் திருமதி ஜனகா புஷ்பநாதன் அவர்கள் தன்னுடைய உரையில்
முத்தமிழறிஞர் டாக்டர் கலைஞர் அவர்கள் தான், பிரிட்டிஷ் கலை நிறுவனத்திற்கு வருகை புரிந்த ஒரே தமிழ் நாட்டு முதலமைச்சர் என்று குறிப்பிட்டதுடன்,
அரசு அலுவலர்கள் அனைவரும் மென்மேலும் இப்பயிற்சியில் கலந்து கொண்டு பயன்பெற அழைப்பு விடுத்தார்.
இவ்விழாவிலேயே தமிழ் வளர்ச்சித் துறை தொடர்ந்து வெளியிட்டு வரும் ஆட்சிசொல் அகராதியினை செந்தமிழ் சொற்பிறப்பியல் அகர முதலித் திட்ட இயக்ககம் வாயிலாக மூன்று பகுதிகளாக தமிழ்நாடு அரசு அச்சகத்தின் வாயிலாக அச்சிடப்பட்டு இன்று காலை மாண்புமிகு அமைச்சர் அவர்களால் வெளியிடப்பட்டது.
முதல் பிரதியினை அரசு செயலாளர் பெற்றுக் கொண்டார்.

British Council and Department of Translation, Govt. of Tamil Nadu complete General English programme for State Officers

Minister for Tamil Development and Information, Thiru M. P. Saminathan presided over the valedictory event at the Tamil Nadu Secretariat, and awarded course completion certificates to the state officials from the Department of Translation, today.
Thiru Arul, Director of Translation, Tamil Nadu Government, Secretariat Office, Chennai and Ms. Janaka Pushpanathan, Director, British Council South India today announced the completion of a bespoke English language development course for the personnel of the Department of Translation, Government of Tamil Nadu in the presence of the learners and instructors from British Council’s English learning center in Chennai.
The programme by British Council is a new addition to its work towards creating opportunities for, and upskilling of, Tamil Nadu’s state officials.
The programme was specially designed by British Council with a strong focus on enhancing their language skills to enable them to excel in their field of work and was delivered to 18 Department of Translation (DOT) officials.
Prior to the training, the candidates were assessed by British Council CELTA qualified teachers and were divided into different batches based on their English proficiency.
Based on the level check results the academic team worked on the content for the courses.
The participants were placed in 2 batches which consisted of both intermediate and upper-intermediate levels.
The course was delivered over a period of 3 months consisting of 200 hours-144 hours of F2F (face to face) class and 56 hours of self-study.
The MoU between British Council and the Government of Tamil Nādu aims at strengthening the efforts of the youth towards integrating education and culture.
The MoU also seeks to develop collaborations at the British Council library and English learning center in Chennai which serves as a learning hub for learners, entrepreneurs, visitors from the UK and for the people of the city of Chennai.
Since 2009, British Council has taught English language courses to thousands of learners through its English learning center in Chennai.
The new course builds on the British Council’s work towards creating opportunities for, and upskilling of, Tamil Nadu’s civil servants.
Speaking at the event, Minister MP Saminathan congratulated the participants and appreciated the efforts taken by British Council in training the officials in English.
He quoted Arignar Anna
“I speak English rarely, but it doesn’t mean my English is rare and I’m proud to belong to the Dravidian stock”.
Ms. Janaka Pushpanathan, Director, British Council, South India said,
“We are extremely happy to have completed this English training programme with DOT and the feedback from the officers has been very positive.
She also added that last year we completed a professional English course for 41 officials from the Department of Industries and Commerce.
We are looking forward to further engagement with the government for such initiatives with other government departments.”
Highlighting British Council’s focus on English training, she added,
“We have always aimed at enabling learners with tools and skills to transform themselves and their communities to achieve better socio-economic outcomes, with our interactive ‘learning through doing’ approach.
British Council is constantly working on this mission through our English learning centers in Delhi, Kolkata and Chennai, where more than 100,000 students have taken a course in the last five years.”
